Fan into units

Fan are first turned into “units” on the half-spicy table: each fan doubles up to four, then each fan alternately multiplies by 1.5 and about 1.33. The lobby’s “points per unit” sets what a unit is worth.

8 fan6412864 × 3256
9 fan9619296 × 3512
10 fan · Limit128256128 × 31,024

The table uses the default house rules: 3 fan to win, 10-fan limit. On the “full-spicy” table every extra fan doubles.

Discard wins and self-draws

  • Discard win (someone else discards your winning tile): by default the discarder pays double and the other two pay nothing.
  • Self-draw: all three pay one share each.

For example, a 3-fan win at 1 point per unit: 3 fan is 8 units. Off a discard the discarder pays 16; on a self-draw each of the three pays 8, and you collect 24.

Paying for all

In the lobby you can switch “Who pays a discard win” to paying for all: the discarder also pays the other two players’ shares — three shares, the same as a self-draw. Some tables play this way to punish careless discards.

The limit

Fan are counted up to the cap (10 by default; 8 or 13 to choose). Anything above still counts as the cap — the “limit”. Limit hands score the cap directly.

Draws and dealer streaks

If the wall runs out with no winner, the hand is a draw and nobody pays. If the dealer wins or the hand is a draw, the dealer stays on; if anyone else wins, the deal passes to the next player. Under Hong Kong rules a dealer streak adds no fan.
